Nigel Jones

Nigel, as a Chartered Surveyor, has been in the property profession for over forty years and for over twenty years was a member of the RICS Presidents Panel of Experts and Arbitrators. 

With original roots in the national firms of Humberts and later Chesterton Humberts, he formed Chesters Commercial in 2014 and in 2020 merged with Phillip Kerr to form Chesters Harcourt. 

Nigel provides development consultancy advice to a diverse range of companies including property developers, house builders and landowners. He also regularly receives appointments throughout the UK as an Arbitrator or Independent Expert on complex development land issues including viability and Section 106 negotiations. 

He specialises in valuation issues relating to strategic development land, site disposal & assembly and viability on most categories of development land. Nigel is a well-known part of the Dorset community having responsibilities in a number of charitable organisations.
